The mistake of art being orthodox
Liu Youju
Last night, a senior artist at the professor level sent me a message urging me to go to a certain art college to "nourish my blood" and learn about styling and color. I really can't achieve the great humility of 'Chinese style'. I replied to him, 'I'm not looking down on them. I want Phoenix to supplement the chicken's blood, which will immediately cause physical problems.'. Can you get excited about Phoenix going to fight chicken blood?
Chinese style art education places the greatest emphasis on styling and sketching. I have a fellow villager named Yang Zhiguang, who has been pursuing styling all his life, and in the end, his art ends in styling. Curious and strange, China's art education has also built a palace in the shape, allowing both the education and the educated to enter this sacred and insurmountable palace at the same time. In the end, this palace has become a tomb for burying academic creativity!
Today, someone came over Mr. Lao Shu's poetry and paintings. This type of painting has a high level of interest, and appreciating it can indeed make people feel at ease. To be honest, it is not easy to achieve such "creativity" in the artistic environment of China. After all, this is also a way of not being able to break away from the Chinese style of cultural thinking. If we elevate the name of this type of painting, it can be called "contemporary literati painting". In the future, the name and painting of Lao Shu may be recorded in the history of contemporary Chinese art, because on the one hand, he also demonstrated a sense of freedom, which is already very remarkable. Of course, it is absolutely impossible for the paintings of the old tree to enter the "world pattern". I often talk about the fact that in the records of human culture, there was no world-class art master in China in the 20th century, which is truly a regrettable thing. What exactly is the reason for this? I didn't mean to dig into my own pain. This is completely a problem with our "big education", as we owe a lot of debt to the people for a sound personality education! The personality of Chinese people is incomplete, mainly manifested in a chaotic view of right and wrong. This ability to examine the aesthetic value system directly affects the intelligence region of the people, which has become the biggest key to the progress of Chinese society towards civilization. Our aesthetic education has undergone a serious dislocation, and in terms of its popularization significance, it is completely different from that of civilized countries. I cannot further discuss it here, and there is a risk of crossing the line!
Under the framework of Chinese art theory and creation, there are mainly three insurmountable mountains. The first mountain was Shi Tao, whose traditional techniques had reached their peak, causing Chinese "orthodox" painters to howl mournfully; The second peak was the Badashan people, whose creative literati paintings prevented later generations from reaching his pinnacle; The third one is oil painting, which has already become a symbol of Western "painting civilization". Even in the entire civilization system, no one can surpass the top of this "realism" after the European Renaissance.
Returning to the theory of "nourishing blood". I truly regret my painter friend, who has lived in the advanced cultural capital of humanity for decades and still retains the "cultural lineage" that has been held for thousands of years. I have just spread my wings in the "freedom" of art, but a friend shouted for me to go to the gel style "cultural blood bank" to "replenish blood!" Isn't it sad?
